Thumbnails/Extended Info

Is it possible to have an extended info page generated with all of the template set in Act_Primary.html?

Rather than having to mess about setting up extra sections for more info on products i'd like to be able to have a page with restrited info on a product - i.e. short desc, thumbnail image, price and buy button along with an 'extended page' which shows all the product details.

I can't see what i'm after being something easily achievable at the moment unless i've missed something simple, but to show you what i'm after:

They have their 'thumbnail products' and then a single page for the individual product - any ideas how I might achieve this easily?

On thinking about my problem, Is it possible to get the price and buy button into the extended info page? Also, I'd like my extended info page to be based on Act_Primary - just so that I'd only have to update one template whenever I made a change - that way, I can have a section template that shows everything i want for the 'thumbnail page' then have an 'extended' page with a price and buy button on as well based on the primary template so it looked like a normal page.

A much better solution, which is now possible in v7, is as follows.[list=1][*]Let's say I had three products called 'X', 'Y' and 'Z' and I wanted a 'summary page' with them all on in a list, with add to cart buttons and links through to a page of more information.[*]I would create a section (called 'Listing' or something) and then create sub-sections within the 'Listing' section called 'X', 'Y' and 'Z'.[*]Within the 'X' sub-section, create your 'X' product.[*]Now right click on 'X' and select 'New Product Duplicate'. Copy the duplicate back into the 'Listing' section.[*]Change the layout of the 'X' duplicate to be more compact.[*]Use the 'Link' tab in the 'X' duplicate to create a link through to the fully-detailed 'X' product in the sub-section.[*]Repeat all this for 'Y' and 'Z'[*]Finally, edit the 'Layout' tab of the 'Listings' section to not show a sub-section list.[/list=1]
