Problem moving sites to new PC

I've just upgraded to a new PC, having first backed up all my Site1 (or equivalent name) folders onto my fileserver. I installed Actinic v5 on the new PC, re-created the clients' sites, and copied all the Site1 folder contents back into the stores. However, they have all defaulted to the 24/7 Actinic theme, completely ignoring my template changes. I did not need to run the upgrader with most of the sites as they are all patch 5.1.4.

I've done the same process with v4 and v6 sites - the v4 sites were OK and the v6 ones were OK after I imported the snapshots. The problem is that I didn't make snapshots for the v5 sites as the snapshot facility was very flaky then.

None of the v5 sites are important, except one, as I can get snapshots from the clients - the one I cannot do this with was never handed over to the client, he wants me to keep updating and collecting orders for him.

Does anyone know the answer to this problem?

To follow on from my first message, the problem is now solved.

I was able to get the old hard drive slaved to the new PC and I copied the original folders across, after which everything went back to normal. I can only assume that something went wrong with my original backups.
