Is there a way to exclude certain products from the Discount Setting I have running on my site yet?

no is the simple answer, unless you have V7 which now has this built into it, although the the set up of it is a bit long winded it does do what you wanted, unfortunatley you can not just tick a box for include / exclude discount rule, you have to group everything in various groups or as i do create 2 groups and put the discounted ones in one and the non discounted in the other but it works,
i can give you more information on this if you require

I am just waiting for my copy of v7 to come through, so until then I can't use the grouping options......
Might need more info when I get my copy and would be grateful for your help when that happens.

No probs,
Im not using V7 yet, still running V6, got stock take this weekend and price changes monday, when that is all out of the way i can swop the site to V7, i am going to create a new index page detail this to our customer because i know it will take me a few hours to achieve as i have to set up the new discount groups when i copy the orders over from V6 and the fact that the ftp upload always fails. and i normally have to try it 4 or 5 times to get the site running again.
But when you are ready let us know and i will try my best to help
