Hello, i think ive nearly finished my first (hopefully of many) actinic sites, i just need to test it! but im still not a 100% on how it all works? how can i order a product without charging an account? just to see if orders come through? how do i process a payment??

Testing - Where does one buy

Hi Carl,

I tried placing a test order on your site but you have no products to buy. The only item that may come to you is a Brochure Request that I have filled in with "Actinic Test Please Ignore".

Test Order Placed

Hi Carl,

I have placed a test order using a test credit card number. I had earlier gone to http://www.microphoto.co.uk/ .

You should be able to download the order now. It was a picture of a "Couple In Sunglasses"

have also placed a test order, you might want to turn on CVV2 for you credit cards, this is the 3 digit number on the back of everyones credit card it adds a little bit of security.

to turn it on go to VIEW|BUSINESS SETTINGS Click on PAYMENT & SECURITY|CONFIGURE and a box will appear put ticks in CVV2 column

this is more usefull if you are processing cards manually, not sure if the intergrated online payment companies use this info?

thank you for you help!!! im not sure how i would recieve the payment though?? what do i do with the order to confirm a payment? before i email or send the photograph the costomer has ordered? how do i enable to ssl security??

what is the best way to use an online payment company or bank in colaboration with my actinic software???

Do you have a streamline or similar terminal at present?

if so process these manually through your terminal as a mail order and enter the new payment in the order by going

open order, progress payments, view payments, new entry and here you can add your auth code

as for using online payment companies i cannot comment as i do not use them

SSL to enable this you need to go to view, business settings, payment and security and turn on your ssl, you will need to have this set up first with you hosting company, when you have done this you then have some more options, go into configure method and select standard SSL.

If you are using a shared SSL then do not tick the box enabling SSL on the payment & security page as if you haved then shared ssl will be greyed out on the configure method.

if you are using you own ssl cert then you will also need to change the network settings to allow for this, you will now have another tab for SSL settings under your network set up found under advanced, these settings are normally the same except you need to change the http to https
