    Scroll Wheel Bug?

Finally got my nice new copy of Developer v7 arrive this morning... but i think i've found a bug. In v6 you could select products and then use the scroll wheel to drag them easily up/down the product tree. This is only an issue when using the preview pane as I assume that it's stealing the focus when a product is selected/moved.

    Hi Pneumatus

I wouldnt really class this as a bug, more of a windows function.

If you want to be able to scroll up and down your product tree of icons within Actinic, the focus would need to be on the Content Tree pane (where it says content tree the bar needs to be blue).

Once that is done, your scroll wheel will work in that pane.

    Hope that helps.

I think I know what the issue is now... When i have a product selected in the Content Tree the focus is on the Content Tree and the product/section details are shown in the Product Details window, however when I select an item from 'Unallocated External Products' the focus is stolen by the Product Details window - It continues to show the title of the previously selected product/section but all the details dissapear - as far as i'm concerned, the focus should still be held by the Content Tree but it isn't (There is no reason at all for the Product Details pane to steal the focus).

      Can this be rectified please.

        Hi there

Ive tested this out, and can see what you mean by clicking on Unallocated External Products taking the focus... I will check with our developers if it is a case of this is what actinic does, and whether it can be changed...

        I'll let you know.

The Unallocated External Products means there are products that are available in the external database but not linked or used in our site, that is why the content tree pane doesn't get the focus when you click on Unallocated External Products to denote that this part is not going to generate html etc..

          Hope that helps

            Hi,

That's all very well but what's the point in setting focus on the Product Details pane when it doesn't show the details - just the title of the previously selected item - I still can't see any reason not to have the focus on the Content Tree....

The details of the products are only read from the database, when they are in the external database then Actinic doesn't read these values and they are considered empty or null.

              Hope that helps
