    eeeek.....what's happened? (desperate plea for help!)

    Right, apologies if this is short and sweet, it's late and I'm off to bed!
    Am running version 6.1.3 for Chariots On Hire.
    Today, I ran a stock report so I could delete and purge sold stock (first one I've run..lol..I've had heaps deleted but never actually bothered to purge them before now)

    Anyway, the "purge" itself came up with an error. Cannot recall it exactly but it said something about search key not being found or something.
    It left the stock in the database and worked fine from there so I thought nothing of it. Was going to ask about it tomorrow.

    Went to shut down today, did database backup but forgot to export a site snapshot to my removable hard drive before I did so (daily job!) so I tried to open it back up to do the snapshot.

    On opening, I'm getting the following error.

    Huh? I click ok "OK" and it tells me an error log has been created and do I want to view it? I click "yes" and get the attached log. (beware, it's long. All my products have lengthy components so customers can choose hire periods.)

    Whether I click "yes" to view it or not, it won't open Actinic for me and I cannot get it to open now, let alone back up the snapshot.

    So, any advice, please? It's desperate. I cannot process my outstanding orders!

    This is not good, it looks as if you have too many records marked for purge (just a guess) and possibly the software isn't coping with the SQL query length. You need to send your database to Actinic for sorting out if you have cover, if you don't send it to me (actinc@mole-end.biz) and I will have a look - no promises though.

      I only deleted about 13 or 14 products themselves, plus the components and choices, of course.

      I wouldn't have thought that was a huge purge, would you?

      I only have Actinic Cover for Budget Bumps not Chariots (was seriously considering purchasing it soon though as I was considering upgrading COH to V7 but, as I can only upgrade one of the 2 and have them both running all the time, it'll probably be Budget Bumps (currently on V5) anyway)

      Anyone from Actinic got any words of wisdom? I wasn't exactly taxing it by asking it to purge 13 sold items and their components/choices. Why has it gone belly up and what can I do?

        To be honest I am suprised that it has happened, I have deleted far more than that in one go

        I've just purged 1000 products here without a problem, they had lots of components as well so probably about 10000 database records in total.

        You can get email support from Actinic if you don't have cover (I'm still happy to take a look at the database for you though if you need me to).
