wildcard searches

Is it possible to modify the search page so that you can do wildcard searches (eg searching for fr?d returns fred, frid, frod and fr* returns fred, frank etc.)

At the moment entering a wildcard character makes the search return nothing

Any suggestions?

There's no easy way to edit the Actinic search to behave in this manner.

Technically it already does wildcard searching of the format 'fl*' as if you entered 'fl' it will find all products that begin with 'fl'.

I will add your more detailed requests to the wish list.

The site has 28,000+ products, so this would be a useful feature - although not essential.

You mention that there is 'no easy way' to do this.... Is there a really difficult way to do it?? I love a good challenge

Not that I know of. It would involve a substantial re-write to SearchScript.pl.
