must V7 use PHP 5?

Hi....
I am downloading the trial version of V7 as I write this note.
We are currently using V6 and our host has PHP 4.3.7

I am keen to be able to handle both telephone and internet sales from one package, and it will be extra wonderful if we don't have to switch hosts.

Can anyone tell me if it is absolutely essential we find a web host with PHP 5?

Actinic out of the box doesn't require PHP.

Have you got some extras that need it?

Actinic does require Perl 5, but not PHP.

I must have been rather tired yesterday evening....

I woke in the middle of the night thinking : stupid woman, it was PERL, not PHP that needed version 5.

I jumped up this morning, thinking I could pull my embarrassing post.... but no..... you all have beat me to it.
