'using the actual machine address of my hosting companies server'
Why not contact him directly and ask what the machine address is and how he found out what it was?Comment

the BT server will be set so that it can only send email either from a BT address or to a BT address... if you are sending from a non-bt address to another non-bt address, it will be rejected.Comment
