Problem creating Creating a List of Hyperlinks with Sections and Subsections

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I am building a custom look for my store and have included the code to produce a List of Hyperlinks with Sections and Subsections.

When I click one of these links, I get a page which says 'The link you selected would normally run a CGI script'. Why is this happening? I assumed that I'd be able to link to the products pages in my catalogue from these links.

    Please help if you can.

    Thanks, John

That message is only displayed when you preview offline - to see the final result you need to upload it so that the cgi scripts can execute.

Hi, thanks for such a quick reply. Is it not possible to test this offline at all then?

Unless you set up a webserver with perl and an ftp server locally and 'upload' to that, not really

Because the code you are using is using the cgi scripts it need to be uploaded to cgi enabled webaspace to execute them.

          Hi Again

I'm still a bit puzzled though. The links when I hover over them end with @action=SHOWCART.

Even if I uploaded, I wouldn't be wanting those links to show the cart, just to take me to te appropriate store page.

Sorry if I'm being dumb here

Pneumatus is correct and the display your seeing for the link is removed/replaced after upload.
