    Stock control

I hope some of the more experienced users can help with this question.

Like many we are using Actinic for web based sales, with stock control. Like many we also have non web sales. One of our shop site managers currently uses Sage 50 and Excel to record web and non web sales and stock control which produces all the reports that keep the accountants happy.

This particular shop site is not yet live, and we are wondering if Developer 7 and Sage will take care stock control for both web and non web sales. In other words, if a non web sale is entered into Sage will the stock adjustment show in Actinic?

    Thanks

    Hi Bob,

With Sage Link (Sage to Actinic) you can set your profile to just update stock levels. So it is possible to enter offline orders into Invoice or SOP, update ledgers to update the stock, then run Link to update Actinic's stock.

Are your Sage product references the same as Actinic's product references?

Actinic v7 has new functionality to enable offline (non-web) orders to be placed within Actinic. These orders can be transferred into Sage Line 50. Stock quantities are maintained correctly in Actinic and in Sage.

Also, an order entered directly into Sage would also update the stock quantity in Actinic when you manually periodically run the 'Sage to Actinic' application (note that there is a stock control amounts only option. See the Actinic Link help text)
