    snapshot can't find html files

    Hello

I am trying to make a site snapshot and I get the following type of error about 8 different files (i have used the cheese one as an example, but they are all the same):

(File ExportFiles.cpp, Line 528) - The file C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Sites\Site1\Cheese.html was not found System error 2 - The system cannot find the file specified.

The thing is, the files are there, but the path to them is C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Sites\Site1\SiteHTML\Cheese.html. What is going on here? - all the other files have the right paths.

    Thanks

    Missing HTML files

    Hi Julia,

Move all the files bringing up an error into your Site1 folder, that should rectify the problem. Actinic will look into your Site1 folder to find the files and since they are in a sub folder may come up with the error.

    Hope that helps,

I think this is a known actinic 'feature'.

If you hard code a link to one of the actinic generated pages, then actinic doesn't realise that it's one it creates itself and tries to find the HTML page in the site1 folder to include in the snapshot. (Whereas normally it wouldn't include the page HTML files as it create them from the other files)

Because actinic puts all the HTML pages it generates in the SiteHTML folder then it can't find the file and creates an error.

This is a benign situation as it doesn't need the files anyway and so the snapshot is fine.

It would be nice if Actinic would fix it though.

        Thanks

Yes, I moved the files, did the snapshot, imported it to my client's machine and there were no problems.
