Try this, look for thanks.html in C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce.... \Sites\Site1(or the name you have give it) look for the text
" thank you for using knickerdrawer.com" and replace it whatever text you want.
I have done this and every time I update the website from within actinic to update any changes with the catalog it reverts it back to the old text is this text set somewhere in the actinic program?
Did you find the file in the Site1 folder or any other sub-directory? if that is the case, that just may be a temporary file and so everytime you upload actinic it gets overwritten.
Alternatively what you could do is in Actinic under View|Business Settings browse to the Options tab and check the small box under the header Miscellaneous Options. This should display all page names. Look for the page that says Thanks.Html, the text your are looking for may be there. Replace the text, then upload and see if it works.
right, showing the page names within actinic catalo has let me see that the poage called thanks.html is actually the top of the root, I did not build the site originally so am trying to ammend other peoples work, so how can i chage the text that appears on the page right at the top of the tree, what I would have though in most circumstances is the hompage?
Double click on the page that says Thanks.html and under the heading Text you should find the information that you want to change. After making the changes click on OK and upload the changes.
