Linking between front site and actinic.

I have a front site, and can't get google to pick up the site as one.

Is it the type of link i'm using between my front site and actinic part?

    I'm unsure at the moment.

    my website is www.edinburghcameras.co.uk

    actninc part starts at www.edinburghcameras.co.uk/acatalog

    cheers!

    2 things.

First. The hidden text you have on your home page is more likely to get you banned from Google should one of your competitors report your link to Google. This is called "Search Engine Spamming".

Second. You have many catalog pages indexed in Google already so I have no idea what you are asking.

To see what you have in google just enter this into the search box:

    allinurl:www.edinburghcameras.co.uk

This search shows that you have 97 pages in the index and many of those are from your catalog.

Google has indexed your www.edinburghcameras.co.uk/acatalog/sitemap.html and this has static links to every product page so it's only a question of time before all your pages are indexed. Unless, of course, the spiders reject your site because of the hidden text.

thanks for the response. the front site is done by someone else so i must get that changed.

someone told me there are two or three types of link. is that right?

internal, external. don't worry about it if you think i'm talking rubbish

          Ah,

You might be thinking of relative versus absolute addressing.

An absolute address is of the form http://www.domain.com/directory/pagename.html

Whereas a relative address just uses the bits that are necessary to get their relative to where the visitor is.

e.g. if it's just a page change in the same directory then the address is just

          newpagename.html

Google and all the other search engines don't care one iota what form of addressing you use.
