    Upgrading without loosing work

Can I transfer orders and products from version 6 to version 7 without loosing all the work I've done in developing version 7 site whilst testing.

I have changed templates, colours and made changes to the HTML in my version 7 site and I don't want to loose this by importing my version 6 site.

I've looked at other posts on similar issues, but i cannot seem to find a method that does not overwrite some or all of the changes I have made.

    Any help would be usefull.

    Thanks
    Ian

That thread was what guided me through the upgrade. If there was any other advice I would say to do it first thing on a business day, that way you have this board, or even phone support throughout the changeover day if you have any problems. Changing themes will sometime means that page set ups have to be changed as well but nothing too serious.

I follow that religiously. I _never_ go to upload a new site after about 2pm as it's sods law that things will go wrong then there's no time to fix it
