Default weight for a subsection?

I know I can set a default weight for my catalog. But how can I set a default weight for a subsection? Most of my products within a subsection weigh the same, and it would save me a lot of work if I could just set weights at the subsection level, rather than each product within the subsection.

Hi Pat & John

We maintain a set of default products, which we keep stored in a hidden section, each with its own weight pre set. To add new products we copy and paste the appropriate default into the section before editing them with the product detail. Maybe that would work for you. Duplicating multiple products is simple enough once you have pasted the first, you simply CTRL-V as many times as you need.

I know thats not exactly what you were asking, but you may find it a help
