I am exporting my customer information out of a database and into DB4 or CSV, can some one explain to me without pointing me in the direction of a sample text file, how to format it in such a way that I can import it as an hierarchical file

Not the reply you want.....but ....using the sample hierarchical file is the only way I know

Also the "Help" in Actinic has quite a lot of info on Hierarchical importing.

I fully build my site daily with such an import and found all the necessary info in the Help, Sample File and Advanced guide.
