And another question from me...

I would like to offer free UPS Ground shipping on orders over a certain value. I don't want to offer free shipping for any other mode, though, since international shipping is MUCH more expensive than UPS ground. Is there a way to offer free shipping for only UPS Ground?

I'm afraid not. The 'Free Over' option only works across all classes - you cannot limit it to specific classes.
