overriding netquotevar:next default behaviour

Hi, don't know if this is possible, but hey. Have a modified version of act_productline which has a table with 3 cells across which 3 products at a time are placed into. The problem is, as you might have guessed, that if the number of products is not a multiple of 3, then the table is never finished for the last product. Is there any way other than having blank products to sort this out, some way to tell actinic that if there are no more products it should still continue to the end of the template?

If I understand the problem correctly, you get an unfinished last column, is that right (for e.g., 3-3-2 )

I've done a mod that allows for products in columns. Here is it updated for V7.

Thanks for all your help. in the end took norman's solution because of it's elegance and it seeming to be the only way to do it. The only issue is that all products have surrounding boxes, which obviously stretch nicely when there is too much information with the product, but this means that there are different heights of box on the rows. Have set a minimum height which evens most of it out, but not everything. Am sure will either sort it or get over it in due course, again thank you for all the help.
