I'm having problems with a really slow site. My customer now says he is also receiving negative feedback about the download times too! I use Claranet for hosting and shared SSL, the site also has customer login and a very large Nortree cascading menu system.
The brochure side seems reasonably fast, but logging in and page load thereafter is slow to the point of painful.
I use Claranet for 2 other Actinic sites, one has lots of images, but this still loads in a reasonable amount of time, however, neither use customer login!
I've tested and developed the site on Fasthosts' webservers and it worked really quickly there. So I'm a little puzzled. If anyone has a chance please take a look at the site at www.integrityservices.co.uk. Ideas appreciated.
