Create an <H1> Page Title (for my product pages)

Dear Community

I would like (with respect to search engines mostly but also accessibility) create an <h1>Page title</h1> for my product pages.

I've tried thus far by creating a customvar called Page Heading and have added the customvar to the properties tab of my section control panel.

Howver when i add customvarpage_heading the page heading is repeated as many times as I have products on the page.

Are you able to tell me whether I am going along the right lines and steer me to where I should add the customvar?

Try putting it in Act_CatalogBody.html at the very top

Thanks for responding. I'm afraid I've tried it in various places including the very top - above and below <Actinic:WELCOME/> but nothing appears. This surprises me as this - once you suggested it - seemed like the natural place.

Out of interest I did get it to work by putting it in Act_Primary - but of course this isn't ideal - for one because it appears above the breadcrumb.

I wonder how sure you are that Act_CatalogBody.html is the best place? If you are then perhaps I am doing something to scupper it.

Act_CatalogBody.html is only only used for the front page of the store, so I think you need to actually put your variable into Act_ProductBody.html.
