Changing the welcome page.

I am starting to design a new welcome page for my website which can be seen here.test_index.htm

When I have finished the page how would I change it to replace the welcome page on the server, I am presuming that I can just rename it from test_index.htm to index.htm.

I would welcome your replies.

You upload changes using the green arrow in the Actinic software toolbar

I have actually made the changes in dreamweaver so it is not actually in catalog. I have uploaded it as test_index and just need to know that if I change the name to index.htm will this still work with catalog.

It should work provided you started with the existing index page

If you upload with Actinic to change prices or add products then your changes will be overwritten.

Best bet is to embed your code in the homepage fragment
