    Error Message

    Hello
    Bit of a problem, i now recieve an error message saying
    "an error occured while loading products into the tree dsplay..Data Truncated"

    i have lost lots of products from their sections, dont really want to refresh the website fearing it will upload it without these products and all the man hours would have been in vain.

    Is the next step to re-install (again) i do keep an up to date back up
    or can this be sorted?

    Hi Paul

    When do you get the data truncated error?

    You could try going to Housekeeping | Compact Databases, and check both the shipping and the catalog check boxes, Actinic will then close.

    This will compact and repair the Access databases that Actinic uses.

    That can sort out the truncated error, also do you know how you lost your products?

      Hello James
      The error message apprears when i start actinic, since this error message has appeared i have lost products in some catagories.

      I will try as you suggest, otherwise i guess its re-install?

          Do you know how you lost your products then? Have they been deleted? If so, then to get them back you would have to go back to your backup file (snapshot) that you have to get your products back again.

            No,i have not deleted them, they disappeared when the error message appeared?

            Do you think best bet is to import backup file?
            I dont have to re-install actinic software, do i?

              If your products are not there any more, I would say that would be the best thing to do to get them back again.

              No, you shouldnt have to re-install the software, just importing your snapshot (File | Snapshot | Import Site) will be enough to bring your catalog back to how it was.
