1) when i mouse-over to the link [Online Store] found on the menu bar on the top. Click it, it will load this weird link before it reaches the "online store (catalogue page)" where the correct link should be this--> http://www.hst.com.sg/acatalog/shop.html.

2) does anyone knows why are there cgi-bin/ss..etc.what are those? i suspect google could not find our site because they are not able to locate our online store at all. what are those codes for and how can i solve it?

Links in actinic typically go via the scripts so they can process the pages and rpesent the appropriate information to customers depending on whether they are logged in or not.

It's only necessary where customer accounts are in operation, but I don't think you can stop it doing this unless you create your own links.

For the searche engines. make sure you publish the sitemap. That will help them find all your pages.

This is Actinic's Search Script (which lives in a folder called the CGI bin) looking for a section called "Shop.html"

This can be quite useful, as no matter where you may move "Shop.html" to within your site, Actinic will always direct your customer straight to it when following this link.

I don't see any reason for this to affect your Google results though, but I'm no search engine expert

we have no login function..why is there a need for cgi to be direct to our page? it should be alright by directing straight to us isn't it? what are those directing for?

But those sitemap are generated by Actinic itself isn't it. So you mean there's no way i can change that link away? Despite i have no login function@all?

No there isn't.

If you are worried about search engines getting lost, use a fragment to insert a link to the URL of your catalogue front page, and also a link to the URL of your sitemap page. That will sort you out.

I dont quite Understand what you mean Cdicken. U were saying extend a link from my sitemap to my index page? I have Site map..take a look, Does it look alright? give your suggestions:

What I was talking about was a way for you to insert a link to
http://www.hst.com.sg/acatalog/index.html
and
http://www.hst.com.sg/acatalog/sitemap.html
from the brochure home page located at http://www.hst.com.sg/index.html for search engines to follow. I was not commenting on your site map.

To do this I was suggesting you create a 'Fragment' - by right-clicking on your brochure home page in Actinic (little house icon) and selecting 'New Fragment'.

I suggest you give the fragment a 'Title' of 'Links' a 'Layout' of 'Text Only' and then use the following in the 'Text' field:

Then preview and see what you think.
