Showing stock levels for component items

    Hi all

Every product we sell is hidden behind a parent product: ie a.n. jersey, available in red or blue, sizes S-XXL (10 different products)

Does anyone know of a method for showing stock levels, in the parent product, for each of these "child" products?

This would be extremely useful in our clearance section!

    Agreed...

I'd also like to know if this is possible in Actinic. Its not a feature of other leading (or trailing) shopping packages...

The only way that I can think of to do this would be to have a program running in the background that collects stock levels from parent products and adds text a custom var to create a stock level table, you can then add the customvar to your product templates, as you have several attributes you would probably have to show a table of stock levels.

If you had just a single attribute then you could add the stock levels (and price possibly) to the HTML name of the attribute using a similar method.

We run a fairly straight forward component stock updater for a few of our clients. If you give us a call on 0870 760 7996 (Press Enquiries Option) then you can have a quick chat to see if it might fit your needs.
