OK, in an effort to get round my "hidden products" problem (see post below) I have figured out what I thought was the correct way around it!
I left all the products as they were, with the first main product showing and the others as hidden.
I then gave the first product a component and gave this component an attribute (colour option) Follow me? (I'm sure you do!)
I then gave 4 "choices" to that attribute.
I went into the component and set all the prices and made sure that they referred to the correct product in order to keep the stock levels correct.
I also set the main product to use the sum of component prices (after finding out, by trial and error, that it added them first time, just an oversight actually)
With a bit of jiggingabout, I got it looking how I wanted it to (see page http://www.budget-bumps.co.uk/acatal...urse_Rite.html )
and proceeding to do a trial order.
Everything seemed fine, prices were fine etc BUT it has reduced all the stock levels by 2 each time ( I tried ordering one blue and one offer pink to test pricing and stock levels)
I have the component set as "quantity used 1" so it's not that.
The order is showing the lines as repeated (which I just thought was something to do with the components thing anyway, not being too experienced with them!)
So, why is it reducing the stock by double each time? ANyone know?
Thanks
Tracey
