    Desktop Client Start Up Errors

    This is not a fault as such but it makes me nervous and I would like to solve it before deploying at my clients.

    I get three error pop-ups each time I start Actinic up (see attached) - I am using the Smart template if this is relevant

    I cancel all three and everything works perfectly

    - any ideas ??

      Nearly there

      Thanks - that got rid of two of the errors but not the 1st one as attached

      Note also, it was not my shortcut but the one placed there from the install and I didn't have the problem with the snapshot being greyed out

        Hi

        I can send you the skin.zip folder that is mentioned in the error message from my V7 directory. You can then paste it into C:\Program Files\Actinic V7\Formats\Navigator Skins\QuickStartGuide folder, replacing the one that is already there.

        Since the file is too large for me to post it here as an attachment, I need to mail it to you. If you can send me a mail through this forum, I shall send you the attachment in my reply.

        Once you have replaced the file, upload your site and let me know if the problem persists. If it does, I guess, you will have to uninstall and re-install the software all over again. In case you need to do that, please do take a snapshot of the site (from File | Snapshot | Export Site) and then uninstall.

              Didn't work I'm afraid

              The file was in place already but I copied yours in there but the problem still exists

              I am really nervous about an export, re-install & import so unless you can suggest anything, I'll live with the problem.

                I've got a suggestion.

                Go into the 'Formats\NavigatorSkins' folder and open 'skin.ini'

                Change it so it reads...
                Code:
                [DefaultSkin]
                Default=Default Navigator
                B2BDefault=Default Navigator
                BrochureDefault=
                OrderManagerDefault=OrderManager
                
                [DefaultTemplateNavigator]
                Framed=TNCatalogWithFrames
                UnFramed=TNCatalogNoFrames
                BusinessFramed=TNBusinessWithFrames
                BusinessUnFramed=TNBusinessNoFrames
                That should get rid of the error.
