    Merging Themes

    Hi Folks

I seem to be going round in circles as to the best (i.e easiest ) way of doing this.

I want to use elements of two themes on the site. Basically using the Art Deco theme but with the Mediaeval 'top bar'.

Can anyone give me a pointer in the right direction please.

    Many Thanks - Dunc.

    Hi Duncan

Basically using the Art Deco theme but with the Mediaeval 'top bar'.
If you are talking about the "Welcome to our Online Catalog" bar at the top, then that's just an image in the Medieval theme. The name of the image is Logo1.gif. All you need to do is copy this image from the Medieval theme folder(C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce...\ Formats\Themes\Medieval) and place it into your site folder which should be (C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce...\Sites\Site1(or the name you have given it))

    Hope this helps

      Thanks Kiran

I had tried that but ended up with it not colourising properly - suspect I might have taken the logo from another instance of the site rather than the theme folder with hindsight.

I managed to get it working by creating a new 'dummy' theme & manually editing the themes.ini file. Probably more messy than it needed to be but it works

Thanks for the assistance, nice to know my initial reasoning was right, must have just messed up somewhere, easy when the caffeine level drops!

      Cheers - Dunc.
