    V6 to V7 upgrade problem

I developed a new site in v7 to replace one I did in V6. The order downloads are dealt with on another PC. I followed the upgrade instructions and all went OK on the order download PC. I imported a site snapshot from my develpoment PC. All still OK, everything looked the same on the order download PC as my development PC. As per instructions, I copied ActinicCatalog.mdb from V6 site to V7 site, and restarted the V7 site. You need to look at the attached zip file to see what happened then. Somehow a button graphic from v6 has found its way and embedded itself under the 'More Pages' heading.

I reimported the snapshot and that fixed everything, but it all went wrong again when I again copied over the .mdb file.

Since the PC affected is only for order downloads it is not too much of a problem, but what has gone wrong here? I am hoping that nothing untoward will happen when the first order from the v7 site is downloaded.

    Hi There,

It looks like you have the wrong file selected for the brochure page icon.

Let me clarify a few things. When I got v7.0.1 I upgraded all the sites on my development PC from v6.1.4 and they all went OK. I then changed the theme on this particular site and made all the mods as required. Uploaded it to a test location on our server and checked it out. All OK.

I then upgraded our PC that handles the order downloads, and as with my development PC the upgrade went OK, and then imported a snapshot from my development PC to ensure all the correct files were there and the encryption codes were identical. Everything looked as it should when viewing the site in offline preview.

I then copied over the file ActinicCatalog.mdb file form V6.1.4 to the new V7.0.1, as per instructions, and restarted V7.0.1. The result was as you see in the screen shot.

Re-importing the snapshot cleared the problem, but re copying the mdb file brought it back.

This suggests the mdb file is suspect for causing this. But why??

        Hi Bob,

The image that you see is the default 'Enter Shop' logo set in 'Design | Options | Brochure' - you should be able to change it there. It will not affect order downloads. I do not know how it appears when you re-copy the .mdb file, maybe there is a reference in the file that causes the image to appear.

        Cheers

The v6 site used this image, then I upgraded the v6 site to v7 then changed the theme.
