    HTML <TITLE> and brochure pages

i am using brochure pages on my site http://www.forsyth4.co.uk

each brochure page Title is used in the navigation menu

so i have used the following brochure page titles

    home
    contact us
    links
    etc

    these are now the menus

problem is that this Title name is not very good practice to get good search engine optimisation. google will simply show "home" in the results. not very usefull or informative.

if i change the page title to
"forysth 4 garden furniture online sales" instead of "home"
this will be good for Google
but the site menus then look rediculous

    what is the solution ?

how can you set page titles manually in brochure pages ?

You can do this by creating a number of brochure overall layout templates, one for each brochure page. To do this, go to 'Design | Options | Brochure' and click 'Edit' next to the 'Overall Layout' field. Save the file under a different filename. Repeat this to create a range of templates - one per brochure page.

Then in each separate template replace NETQUOTEVAR:PAGETITLE with the specific page titles for your page. You can then select the correct overall layout template for a page within the 'Overall Layout' field of the 'Page Properties' dialogue.

          thank you

          thank you chris

          just the job

i have put you suggestion in place, all works fine

i now feel i will have to change the <TITLE> for the catalog pages also, using same method

what would be nice here is to be able to setup actinic to mulitple pages for "section" and "products" based on a number of keywords relevant to that product or section

these additional pages would not be accessed through the normal us of the online catalog BUT would appear in the site map for the crawlers to pick up

          any thoughts

Oh Yes , how do you put the site map in the brochure pages

Only one - I'm afraid I don't really understand what you are asking.

            Create a link to http://your.URL/acatalog/sitemap.html
