    cgi-bin

We have changed hosting and need to upload the site to their servers, using ftp I can see there is a folder for cgi-bin although it was named cgi-local I renamed the file which I don’t think will make a difference, but when I try and upload it says the cannot find url path to the cgi-bin, so I then try the wizard tool which says trying cgi-bin guess but still no joy.

This all happened yesterday when the forum was down typical!

When you use the wizard it should produce an FTP view of your folders, which should allow you to navigate into where your sites public cgi-bin resides, then one click and it places that path in...

Do you get that shown when you use the wizard?

Also, it may be that the cgi-bin you are seeing is not for public use, as in your sites, but shared use for pre-loaded scripts maybe, so you may still need to manually create your own cgi-bin using an FTP app.

      problem solved

Thanks for the response, the new hosting company had a cgi-local folder which I thought I could just rename to cgi-bin but I was wrong and this is what was causing the problem.

      Thank you!
