    Product Specific Search Engine Optimisation

    Hi

Is there any way that I can optimize each product in Actinic for a specific internet search?

I think if I was to design and optimise a page, which linked from the homepage, that listed every product in my site with a link to that product page within Actinic I may be able to succeed at this, but it seems to be a rather laborious method.

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hi Callum,

Actinic is great for search engine optimised pages. The product pages in our shop are page one or two of google on a wide range of keywords and phrases. The is no quick fix to SEO though, reciprocal links with similar web sites to your own is the most effective way of improving ranking, but it is a laborious job.

My! What a lot of keywords you have! Some search engines have a limit on the number of characters used for kewords, but other than that it looks good. You've got a good keyword density for 'Golf' - why not make the home page featured products link to the product in the shop? This provides easier browsing and gives more paths for the search engine bots to travel around your web site...

            search engines

            Callum

Actinic is search engine friendly but more and more search engines are moving away from meta tags, your right the way to do it is have a home page then optimize single pages for keywords do some research into keywords that people find relevant to your products, for example I have just checked and last month overture showed 150 searches a day for golf shoes, 19 searches a day for adidas golf shoes and 14 searches a day for Nike golf shoes.

So one page would be about golf shoes with adidas and Nike mention therefore one page would cover people looking for golf shoes, adidas golf shoes and Nike golf shoes.

There are a few basic rules to help you the main on is page title have a look at this website it will guide you on your way
www.highrankings.com and go to the forum.

Your site is indexed in Google and Google is visiting your site judging by the indexing and you have got some good links you should do well quite easily

            Good Luck

Callum, we have used a product called WebCEO to get some excellent rankings on search engines. Whilst we used it primarily for some non shop pages, we then used the lessons learned from there on our Actinic pages.
