    Displaying component pricing

    Hi,

I'm trying to set up a product that has the choice of either a dozen items, or single ones. These are priced differently, and have sizes and colours to choose from. The best way to do this seems to be with components, but aside from writing the price in the html field of the component I cant find out how to display a components price. Could someone let me in on the secret?

    Cheers,

    Ray

Products with quantity options AND color options

That's pretty much the same info I need right now too.

I have been trying to work this out for months and got no joy.

I need to provide customers that want to buy a product as a single item, a pack of 2, pack of 3, pack of 4, pack of 5 etc. but also a color choice e.g. red, blue, green, yellow, white.

So really there are say 5 quantity choices and 5 color choices. But I need the customer to be able to choose ANY quantity in ANY color combinations.

So, real flexibility of choice is needed, for example, a customer may need to be able to buy a pack of 5 (one blue, two red, one green and one yellow) and pay the '5 pack' price. Or, for example a pack of 4 all one color.

Presently I have the product available with the quantities set up with the correct prices but cannot get the 'color option' integrated into the set up.

Somebody must know how to do this???

      Hi chaps

Each of your posts actually seems to deal with a different question so I will take them one at a time.
are priced differently, and have sizes and colours to choose from.
OK - so you have created a component within the product, and put two attributes within the component: one for 'size' and one for 'colour'. Then you have gone into the component, switched to the 'Permutations' tab and clicked 'fill list' and provided a price for each combination of choices?

In which case, the only way to get prices appearing within the HTML page is to include them in the 'HTML for Name' field of the choices, or else in the 'Full Description' or in the 'Extended Information' pop-up window. Sorry about that - it is a known limitation.

How have you done the quantity options? Have you used components and choices or have you done it with quantity-dependent pricing (within the 'Prices' tab)?

If it is the latter then you can just right click on your product and select 'new attribute' and call it 'Colour'. Then right-click on 'Colour' and select 'New Choice' and add choices for your colours.

You can also create a component within the product called 'selection' and put the 'colour' attribute within this. Then create another attribute within 'selection' called 'quantity' and create choices within that for the available quantities. Then go into the 'Selection' component, switch to the 'Permutations' tab and click 'Fill List'. You can then assign a price to each available combination of choices.
