    Holiday Message

My website is in its infancy and run completely by myself and I get an average of 20 orders per week. We intend taking a week or 10 days holiday. No one else has access to the computer or, has ever processed orders before. How can I let online customers know that if they place an order, it will not be processed until 10/10/04, for example?

    Thanks

    Chris

You could change your Primary template to include the message, this will cause it to display on every page or you could add a header or footer message (you do this in design options on the shop defaults page.

You could also edit the text of the email sent out to customers when an order is placed to say that it will not be processed for a few days.

    Have a nice holiday.

    Regards,
    Jan Strassen, Mole End

This may become a yearly problem what we do is access our computer remotely from abroad, this is a feature of windows xp professional which allows to log on to your machine remotely to process your orders.
