Only allow registered user to ship to an alternate address

Hello - as a security measure we would like to restrict customers on their first purchase to only being allowed to ship to their invoice address. We would then create an account for them and inform them of their login details and what this entitles them to do. On a subsequent visit the user logs in and they now have the opportunity to have the goods shipped to an address other than the invoice address. Is there a means of achieving this?

Hi Ed,

Yes this is possible.

When creating your customer account, in the Buyers tab, check "Allow User to Select or Enter New Address".

Now when that particular customer logs onto the site and checks out, then can check "If you want to ship the purchase to an address other than the invoice address, check this box:" and proceed to a delivery address input page.

Try testing it out by setting up a test customer account. Let me know if you get any problems.
