Custom ALT Tags for section and subsection images

Reading through the board i found out how to change the ALT tags for the product images (custom var and change Act_ProductImage.html to reflect this) but i also need to change the ALT Tags for section and subsection images, i thought it would be the same sort of thing so i modified Act_SectionLineImage.html to reflect another new custom variable but this seems not to be working, i guess im modifying the wrong template but cannot be sure.

Any ideas anyone - many thanks

Try Act_SectionNavImage.html - replace:

ALT="NETQUOTEVAR:ALTERNATETEXT"

with

ALT="CUSTOMVAR:CUSTOMPROPERTYNAME"

Sorry to rehash an old post but is there a way to have it that if a custom alt-tag property is defined then it is displayed, else the default is used??

There is no way to do this I'm afraid as there is only one section image template for the entire store - and it either uses the section name (if you don't edit it), or the custom property (if you do edit it).
