Problems with Search Feature

Hello,

We have a very large catlog of products and it seems that Actinic is having problems with that.

If you use the search box on that page and type in "watch", for example, you get a long list of products - most of which have nothing to do with the word "watch".

Does anybody have a potential solution?

Hi Brendan

Try this, in View|Search Settings Options tick "Allow Searching by sections" and untick everything else.

Go to 'View | Search Settings' and remove the tick from 'Add Section information to Product text when indexing'.
What is happening is the software is adding any text that you have entered into the section description etc. also (if memory serves) I suspect the meta tags also.
