Email when in stock

I've had a quick search and haven't managed to find an answer as yet.

On many sites there is an option that when an item is out of stock, there is text/a button that reads 'email me when in stock' and you just click on that, enter your email address and yo and behold you get an email (eventually...) when it's back in stock.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this in actinic? I'd like it to also be automatic so that as soon as an item is out of stock, this message appears.

I am not quite sure if this can be done through Actinic. I'll check with my developers if there's a solution for this and get back to you.

Thanks Kiran, I'll wait to hear back. I had a feeling it would be a workaround, and I've had a quick hunt to see if I can find any actinic sites with this ability but haven't as yet.

A simple work around to this would be to change the "Out of stock" message. You can tell the customer to use the "Contact Us" button to send you an e-mail telling you what product they want. And when the product is available you can send them an e-mail telling them they can order the product on-line

The "Out of stock" message can be changed here Design|Text|Web(Cont)|General Information.
