    Sitemap

    Hi,

We just launched our re-design for our hip hop wardrobe website yesterday but I have noticed that Actinic doesn't completely generate the sitemap - http://www.hiphopwardrobe.co.uk/acatalog/sitemap.html

Is there a reason why actinic doesn't show all the products/sections? I've checked on an old version of our site and we are seeing the same thing there.

Anyone else have the same problem?

    Thanks,
    Kev

Go into Advanced | Template Manager | Other Pages and check to see if the Indent template has a <UL> in it and if the End Indent has the </UL> in it.

Did you upgrade this from a previous v6 site? i.e. import templates from that as that was an error in v6 templates if I recall...

Thanks for the reply. It looks as though our Act_SiteMapIndentBegin.html file was empty. I've put the <ul> back in now, will report back if it worked after our next upload.

Yep, adding the beginning <ul> fixed the issue.

On a slightly different note, is it possible to display the sitemap in two columns?

        Thanks,
        Kev

There isn't a way that I know of but THIS THREAD tells how to put the JavaScript-generated section list into two columns. Maybe you could use that instead of the Site Map.

Thanks Chris, this would definately solve the aesthetic issues but it completely destroys one of the main points of the sitemap which is an easy way for search engines to spider every page on your site as well as the PR benefits that having those links close to the top-level page will bring.

Oh well, I suppose it's not too much of a problem. Thanks anyway.
