Has anyone been able to display 'Other Shoppers who bought this item also bought' with a grid of related images on the shopping cart page?

This is not possible in Actinic. You can visit http://www.ecommerce.uk.com/actinic_...ross-sell.html, this is from SmartDecisions, they have a utility "Cross Sell for Actinic" that will fulfil what you want to achieve.

I've got the Cross Sell upsell on surfwax.

I considered Norman's Upsell which is considerably cheaper, but is also more manual in its setup.

Cross Sell maintains all the upsell data in a sql satadase so most of the maintence is less time consuming. (it now includes thumbnails which i haven't implemented yet)

basically buy which ever one falls within your budget
