    Stock level update

Am I right in thinking that the server side stock levels are only updated when the orders have been downloaded and the web site updated?

    Cheers

      Cheers.

This is a problem for the workings of this particular site. We are selling exclusive products and when an item is sold out it is not re-stocked. The stock levels only being updated when the website is updated means that there is a distinct possibility that somebody can order an item that is out of stock and will not be back ordered (i.e. if an item with a stock level of 3 has been ordered 4 times between site updates). Got any ideas on how this threat can be reduced?

      Cheers

Jan at mole-end software has a solution that will regularly download orders and update the stock levels (you define the update period). That should significantly reduce the risk of over selling.

You can find out more here: http://www.mole-end.biz/

The plugin looks good, thanks guys!

While allowing the stock to be easily updated via Actinic is a useful feature, I can't believe that such a fundamental requirement has been omitted!!

            Cheers for the advice, tho!!
