    Reinstall Actinic?

Hi there, hope someone can help me.

This morning I created a new fragment and cut and pasted some text from various websites which all worked fine. However, when I came to do a site snapshot Actinic crashed out while files were being transferred. I got an error box and sent the report. Now when I open the program I can only create a new section/sub-section/fragment etc. from left-clicking in the content tree and even then the section details don't give me the option to apply what info I put there.
Should I be re-installing Actinic and if so can I just move my site folder so it doesn't get overwritten? It's just that I've put a lot of effort into the database so far and I'd hate to have to start from scratch.

Just to note that I'm running the latest version - upgraded with the latest patch.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I'm not too sure what you should try next but:-

Before you do anything else go to Housekeeping / Security and copy all the info there into a textfile that you can keep somewhere safe. This info isn't in the Site1 folder (it's in the registry) and you might need it if you re-install.

At the same time I'd copy the entire SIte1 folder somewhere safe as a back-up in case your recovery attempts fail.

      Hello again

Just to say that I re-installed Actinic after saving a copy of my Site1 folder and everything seems to be ok now.

      Thanks for your help Norman.
