Next / Previous Section Link Problem

Hi all,

Have implimented the next / previous link code as shown in the advanced user guide but have a problem..... Catalog 6 displays a link for any hidden sections but doesnt generate the html for it so anyone clicking the link gets a 404 error. Is there anyway to prevent hidden section links being shown?

Put the hidden section within the last section in a list of sections (rather than after it). That way the hidden section will no longer have any sublings and so not be linked to via the next/previous links.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply - Trust me to be akward but is there any other way that doesnt involve moving the sections as they are used to hold tempory products, items awaiting more info etc. Also we have the NorTree menu installed, is there a way of using this to power a next / back button instead of letting actnic display them?

I'm afraid I don't know a great deal about Nortree so I can't help you there.

With regards to a way to do it that does not involve moving sections, the only thing I can think of is to create an alternative overall layout template for certain sections which does not include a 'Next' link. You can then use this wherever necessary to remove the link to the non-existent section.
