Hard-coded links / staying logged in

I read somewhere on the forum that it is impossible to use hard-coded links on the site and to have customers stay logged in when they click on one of these links.

An example of this is on http://www.all-unied.com/, where my client wants direct graphical links to sections placed at the top of all pages. If you're logged in, and click on one of those links, you get logged out. You can login with a test account by using the username 'test' and password 'visitor'.

Asterix, I have posted a suggestion on the thread you mention.

Artisan, you need to use links of the format described on pages 43 and 44 of the v7 Advanced User Guide.

Thanks Chris, I was getting so involved with it, I missed the blindingly obvious
