Additional product charges for gift wrap

Hi

Dont know if anyone can help me with this, at the moment I charge a small fee for gift wrapping products and have it as a componant attached to every product in the catalogue. The problem comes when I want to do a promotion on free wrap (i.e. for xmas) I either have to go through each product and change the price and description to free and £0.00 or download it to excel and do the same. What would be easier and also look better is if they could be offered it at checkout. Any suggesstions, please!

There is no way to add a giftwrap option in the checkout.

What you can do, however, is have a hidden 'Gift Wrap' product in your store. Then for all your 'gift wrap' components, instead of entering a price for the component, associate the component with the hidden product and select 'Use Associated Product Prices'. That way, you only have to change the one hidden product price when you need to change gift-wrap prices.
