Searching for a group of products

Hi

On our site we have clothes from various designers - I have a "designers" page with a "view collection" link that I would like to then search the products for those created by that designer.

I have created a customVAR and assigned a designer to each product using it. I then manually searched for products by a designer and the results list was correctly displayed. I then copied and pasted the search URL into a new browser window and ran the search - it worked once again. I then pasted the search URL as the link for the "view collection" link - however when clicked the search returns no results.

Any ideas what's wrong?

Hi,

The only difference I can see between the links is:

=HAPPIE%2BGO%2BLUCKIE&GB (this is the one that doesn't work)

=HAPPIE+GO+LUCKIE&GB (this is the one that does work).

Try replacing the %2B for + in the link to see if that helps.

Thanks for this suggestion - during the copy paste procedure the "+" symbol had been encoded - so looking at the search in the IE address they looked identical - but in the code they were very different and the Actinic search mechnaism couldn't handle the encoded "+" and thus failed to find the correct records.
