Hi
I am using weights for my shipping charge, however i would like to offer free shipping within a 30 mile radius of our depot, will i have to make a new zone or is there a way to do it.I have tried to enter no cost and no weight in the table but this does not work.

Hi Mick

Your idea of setting up a new zone would be the best way to achieve this.Because there is no other method of setting up distance based shipping in Actinic. It's a tedious task though because you will have to define in Advanced|Locations every place that falls within the 30 mile radius of your depot. This has to be done so you can select the place from the drop down list that appears when adding new zones under Business settings|Shipping and Handling. Once the zones are created you can add a class to it called Free Shipping. In this class assign it 0 weight and 0 cost, and also set " If shipping band not defiend" to Do not allow shipping.

I had a similar problem and solved it as Kiran suggests. I used a postcode map (Phillips) to define the area using the county name and first part of the post code to define the "free zones" eg Kent TN1, Kent TN4, Surrey RH16 etc.
