    Order Permission Problems

I've been having problems with the permissions set on *.ord and *.occ files. They are not setting to 775 or 664 and I am unable to change the permissions even though I am the user. Here is an example:

    -rw------- 1 myusername myusername 420 Aug 31 01:17 FP63QN10000294.occ

    --w------- 1 myusername myusername 3036 Aug 31 01:16 FP63QN10000294.ord

I've contacted my hosting company a few times about this and they have been able to change the permissions for me but new orders are still having the same problem and I am unable to download them. My hosting company suggested:

Obviously they are set to your username but the .ord file looks
a bit strange with just write permissions.

These files are created by Actinic so it would be advisable
to check with them to find out what are the correct permissions
and why they are not being created properly.
    Can anyone help?

    Thanks

Can anyone point me in the right direction with this one, has there been a post about something similar?

    Thanks

Could you please check that the permissions in the 'acatalog' folder are set to '777' and that the permissions of the *.pl files are 755 - the *.pm files can be 644.

They do get generated with pretty tight permissions - but normally Actinic can download them.

Also, do the *.ord and *.occ files have a different 'ownership' to the other files in the 'acatalog' folder (the myusername myusername values)?

Thanks for replying, I've checked everything you mentiond and everything is fine, all the correct permissions and same username for everything.

I've now also noticed that my search isn't working because 'oldprod.fil' permissions are set at 600 and I can change them.

I can search fine at http://www.glassblockoutlet.co.uk/ Is there a different URL I should be looking at?

What happens when you click the 'Test' button in 'Advanced | Network Setup'? What is the message you get?

I suggest registering an email support request at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm as I think someone is going to have to take a look at your server to figure out the problem.

Its the search in the actinic shop that dosen't work http://www.glassblockoutlet.co.uk/acatalog/.

The search on the navigation bar isn't setup by Actinic.

Tried the test button but everthing seems to work fine.

Thanks again for your help. I will contact Actinic Email support
