    Web test error

My website has been up and running about 18 months but when I tried to to upload recently it wouldn't have it. I tried to test the settings with the wizard and the following error appeared.

An error occurred while attempting to change permissions of the file Actinicbasiccgitest.pl. The ftp server returned a reply code 550. The current permissions of the file are 0700 and the required permissions are 0755. Please configure your network settings through advanced/network settings dialogue.

When I test the network settings it says everything is O.K. The catalogue site up loaded once but had an error and now The purchasing side dosen't work.

    Anyone able to advise?

    Hi Chris,

Are you familiar with FTP and CHMOD'ing?

Make sure the "acatalog" folder is set to 777 and the "cgi-bin" folder is set to 755.

If you are not sure on how to do this I'm sure your hosting company can help.

Let me know how you get on.
    Regards,

    Toby Blanchard
