    Hi,

can anyone help, I have just added VAT inclusive pricing to my site, however I have a problem, I make all the prices the same, but when I upload the system changes the price displayed for a single item and adds VAT to it, yet the box below where a customer selects a1, 2 or 3 pack stays the same. Check out the site www.inkdepot.co.uk I want to make all the prices inclusive of vat and the same, I dont know what I have done here -- pleeeeeeeeeze help !!,

    Thanks,

    Chris.

    Hi Chris

According to my understanding you want the product prices and the components prices to be inclusive of VAT is that right? I checked the link you have provided and saw that the prices are displaying correctly. Please let me know if you have already made the necessary changes to get this working.

      re-ADDING VAT TO MY SITE

Hi Kiran, thanks for taking a look, I had to change it back because it all go too confusing. Yes, you are right, I would like all component and product prices to be VAT inclusive, that is the customer sees a vat inclusive price and the vat content is shown when they check out, hope that makes sence. I will change the site back to show the problems I have had. The product price - when I enter it, it is vat inclusive, but the system adds vat to it. The component prices - when I enter, they are also vat inclusive and the prices remain as entered until the checkout stage where the system adds vat onto them again. All I would like to do is show the customer a vat inclusive price on all prices and have the vat calculated at the end and shown as a part of the total and not added to the total. Phew !!!! hope that is clear !!!.

As said I will change the site back so as you can see the problem, thank you very much for taking a look and I hope you can help me out,

      Chris.

To do this you have to enter the prices in Actinic without VAT and let Actinic calculate the VAT for you - probably not what you want to hear sorry.

When I look at your site I can see two prices, one against the product and one against each option in the drop down box, if I add either to the basket the VAT is included. The prices in the drop down boxes are actually part of the HTML name you typed in for the choice, so if you want these to include VAT you will have to go into each product and change the HTML names for all of the choices - sorry if I have misunderstood the problem again.

Look at your catalog tree and expand a product so that you can see all of the product details, you should see choices at the bottom level of tree (they have a 123 icon next to them), to change the name, click on the choice, the details will be displayed in the right hand window and change the text in the HTML for name field.

Hi Jan, yup, I think I am being a bit dim here, I see the tree you refer to and the name, but what do I change it to, currenlty it says,

                    CHOICE NAME = SINGLE PACK

HTML FOR NAME = SINGLE PACK (£70.00)

                    AND SO ON,

                    THANKS,

                    cHRIS.

                      Click on the text :

                      SINGLE PACK (£70.00)

                      and change it to

                      SINGLE PACK (£82.25)

Do this for all of your choices and then upload your catalog, the correct prices will then be shown.

                            re vat on site

Thanks for your help, I think I have now cracked it,

On the product details I put the ex vat price, the system then re calculated this to the inc bvat price displayed.

On the component boxes - drop downs - I put the prices in as inc vat,

On the pack size - I put all prices in as ex vat -

This seems to work, the customer now only sees inc vat prices and vat is calculated at checkout on the entire purchase. If any one has any thoughts on this please let me know, I have only changed one product so far

Compatible Deskjet 610C / 640 C /665C / No 20 Black Ink Cart (1-ITI14D) this is the first cartridge on the hp refiled cartrides page, have a look and see,
